Authors have the option of simply hiding a collection entirely from users. Those with only User permissions to the application will not see the tab for the hidden collection and will have no way to view the details of the collection data.

To set a Collection's visibility:

1. Click on the wrench to the right of the Collection tabs.

2. In the menu displayed, find the Collection that you want to set the visibility of and mouse over the name. A sub-menu is displayed.

3. Click Set Visibility . The Set Collection Visibility dialog is displayed.

4. To hide a collection, place a check mark in the Hide Collection From Users checkbox. (To make a collection visible again, make sure that this checkbox is unchecked.)

4. Click Ok to set the visibility that you specified. Click Cancel if you do not want to set the visibility.

It is important to remember that if you have Authoring rights, you will still see the Collection or Tab if you are in Author Mode.

Once you turn off Author Mode, the Collection will be hidden.
