Exporting and Importing an Application

Copying Applications allows Users to create copies of Applications between multi-user accounts linked to a personal account. What happens if you want to copy and Application between two different personal Accounts? You're in luck; Coghead supports an Application export and import feature which allows Users to transfer Applications between unlinked personal Accounts. In addition, you can keep a backup copy of your Applications on your computer in case you accidently delete an Application.

Exporting Applications

To save an Application to your computer you must use the Export action from the Account Management Page. To export an Application follow these steps:

  1. From the Home Page, click on Manage next to the Account Name, select Application
  2. Click on the More button and select Export Application.
  3. The Export Application dialog box appears, you can chooses which version of the Application you would like to export. You can also choose if you want to copy the Application with Data or the Application Only.
  4. Click on Continue and choose a location to download the Application zip file to or click on Cancel if you do not want to Export the Application.

 The Application is now saved as a zip file on your computer named after the Account and Application name. Importing Applications To take a saved Application from your computer and add it to a Coghead Account you must use the Import action from the Admin Console.

Importing Applications

To Import an Application follow these steps:

  1. From the Home Page, click on Manage next to the Account Name, select Application
  2. Click on the More button and select Import Application.

  3. The Import Application dialog box will appear, click on the paper clip image to browse through your computer to locate the Application in zip file format.
  4. Locate the location of your Application on your computer.

The Application will be imported to the Account and appears in the Application list.
