Copying a View
Instead of creating a new view from scratch, Authors can also make copies of existing views. Views cannot be copied to a different Collection. Copying is useful if you wish to display the same data fields in the View’s columns with varying selection criteria. A view can be copied by following these steps:
- Be sure Author mode is turned on. In the Collection's page, click on the Wrench icon in the middle of the screen, right above the View section.

- In the menu displayed, place the cursor over Views and then find the name of the View that you want to copy. Place the cursor over the name of the View and click Copy in the sub-menu displayed. The Copy View window will appear. By default, the copied View is given a name "Copy of <View Name>".

- In the Copy View dialog, you can enter a new name for the View in the View Name field. You can also change the columns, filters, or sort order of the records in this new View.

- When you are finished defining the View, click Save or Save and Exit to save your changes. The View with a new name will be added to the View drop down menu.
