As an Author, you have the ability to specify a background color for your Form, to adjust the Form width, or to minimize the use of spaces between widgets to optimize the use of your Form's limited real estate.

Changing the background color of a Form

1. In the bottom left-hand corner of the Form Editor, click Properties.
   
   The Form Properties window is displayed.
   
2. Click the radio button for Background Color . Use the drop-down list to display the Color Picker window.
   
3. In the Color Picker menu, select the color by clicking on the square. The Color Picker window disappears and the selected color will display in the Form Properties window.
4. In the Form Properties window, click OK to apply the background color to the Form. The form canvas now displays the background color.
5. In the Form Editor, click Save to save your changes. Refer to the section on Version Management for more information.
6. Click Exit to close the Form Editor and to return to the Collection page.

If you have made changes to the Form and didn't save them before exiting, the Confirm Form Save dialog box will be displayed asking you whether you want to save the changes.

You can also click Save and Exit to save your changes and exit the Form Editor.

Changing the Form width

1. In the Form Properties window, enter the width in pixels in the Form Width field. The default is 600.
   
2. Click Ok to apply the new width to the Form.
3. I n the Form Editor, click Save to save your changes. Refer to the section on Version Management for more information. You can also click Save and Exit to save your changes and exit the Form Editor.
4. Click Exit to close the Form Editor and to return to the Collection page.

Control Spacing

1. In order to change the spacing between or around the widgets in your Form, change the number in the Control Spacing field. The default is 10.
   
2. Click Ok to apply the changes to the Form.
3. In the Form Editor, click Save to save your changes. Refer to the section on Version Management for more information.
4. Click Exit to close the Form Editor and to return to the Collection page. You can also click Save and Exit to save your changes and exit the Form Editor.
