Solution Provider Revenue Model
How to make money with Coghead
Coghead Solution Providers make money by offering business application subscriptions and services using the Coghead platform and service infrastructure. To generate recurring revenue streams or additional incremental revenue, Solution Providers can sell the following:
- Account subscriptions with applications they develop
- Development, consulting and customization services
- Other value-added services such as implementation, training, and ongoing support

When Solution Providers sell account subscriptions with their applications they set their own pricing for their customers. Each monthly billing cycle Coghead charges each Solution Provider the low, baseline rates for the accumulated users, records and attachment storage consumed by the Solution Providers customer accounts. The Solution Provider collects premium usage rates from each customer in one of two ways:
- Using the integrated PayPal payment solution*
- Using their own, independent invoicing and payment process
*Requires a PayPal Business Pro account ($30/month)
Let's look at an example: A partner sells a custom application with a 30-user account and sets the customer price to $45 per user per month.
The profit margin is the amount that the Solution Provider receives from the customer as an ongoing revenue stream.
Solution Providers are able to grow their businesses by selling the same (or slightly modified) applications to additional customers. With very little additional effort and virtually no investment, your revenue stream can quickly multiply.
In addition, Coghead will provide volume discounts based on the total, monthly baseline revenue you generate. This increases your profits and provides incentive to grow your Coghead business. Contact us for more details.
