How do I make money developing Coghead applications?

Coghead's application development and delivery platform allows you to generate revenue from multiple sources:

• Selling your applications with Coghead account subscriptions
• Selling development and customization services on a project or hourly basis
• Selling other value added services such as implementation, training, and ongoing support

What is the difference between a developer and a Solution Provider?

With Coghead, any tech-savvy person can be a developer of web applications. You can develop applications and share them, but if you are serious about selling applications and services you should join the Coghead Solution Provider program. As an official Coghead Solution Provider you get access to dedicated resources, support, special features and tools aimed at helping you efficiently develop, sell, and deliver applications to your customers. Solution Providers make money by generating recurring revenue streams as well as additional incremental revenue by offering value-added services, such as custom development, training and implementation. Coghead Solution Providers get an exclusive account to resell application services, create customer accounts, set pricing and manage their existing customers.

Does a Solution Provider get a special account?

Yes. Coghead Solution Provider accounts provide access to additional tools and functionality focused on managing your Coghead business.

How do I become a Solution Provider?

To become a Coghead Solution Provider, submit an application for the program, or simply create a new Solution Provider account from the registration page. Your account will be equipped with the special tools and capabilities mentioned above.

What are the Pricing & Payment terms for a Coghead Solution Provider?

Coghead charges Solution Providers at the low, baseline rates of $10 per user, $5 per 10,000 records and $10 per GB of attachment storage, for all the monthly accumulated usage totals of their customers. Solution Providers can sell account subscriptions with marked up, custom pricing representing the value add of their solutions and services. The difference between the two represents the profit to the Solution Provider. (See the Revenue Model page for an example.)
