Greetings Cogheads,

Thanks for your continuing efforts in helping us improve the Coghead user experience! You will see quite a few improvements in the service over the next few weeks, thanks largely to feedback from our beta testing team. Please let us know how we can help you, and what we can do to improve the beta program.

I have a few items I’d like to call to your attention to regarding the Beta program and support materials.

NEW Coghead Video

We are putting the finishing touches on a new video overview of Coghead and would like to get your feedback on how effective it is as both a training device, and as a marketing introduction. If you haven’t spent much time in the product yet, this is a great intro!. Please check it out.

NEW QuickStart Guide

You asked for it, you got it. Hot off the presses is the new Coghead QuickStart Guide written by Greg Olsen himself. This four page intro to Coghead is a great way to learn the basics of the Coghead service, and acquaint yourself with the terminology used in the documentation. As with the video, we would appreciate feedback on how effective this doc is for customers learning Coghead for the first time.

Upgrading the Coghead Service

We have recently begun an effort to update the hosting platform for the Coghead Service to provide increased performance and scalability. The new servers have a 64 bit architecture, and tons of memory, and are world-class in every dimension. This move has been anticipated for quite a few months, and now that the hardware is in place we plan to go through the pain of moving the service.

Although you do not need to physically do anything to reap the benefits of the move, we wanted to alert you to the possibility of some intermittent connectivity and performance issues over the rest of the week.

Tonight we will have a Maintenance Window from 10pm until approximately Midnight PST as we re-configured the service for the move. Apologize for the inconvenience.

Please don’t hesitate to post a note in the Forum, or send us an email, if you have any questions. Thanks again to all of you for helping to make Coghead a great product!

Regards,
Steve Smith
