How do I make money developing Coghead applications?
Coghead's application development and delivery platform allows you to generate revenue from multiple sources:

  • Selling your applications with Coghead account subscriptions
  • Selling development and customization services on a project or hourly basis
  • Selling other value added services such as implementation, training, and ongoing support
What is the difference between a developer and a partner?
With Coghead, any tech-savvy person can be a developer of web applications. You can develop applications and share them, but if you are serious about developing and selling applications and services you should consider joining the Coghead Partner program. As a Coghead Partner you get access to dedicated resources, support and features aimed at helping you efficiently develop, sell, and deliver applications to your customers. Partners make money by generating a recurring revenue stream and additional incremental revenue by offering value-added services, such as custom development, training and implementation. Coghead Partners get an exclusive Partner Account to resell application services, create trial or paid accounts, and manage their existing accounts. They can set up custom pricing that reflects the value of the applications and services they deliver. The billing for those accounts is processed by Coghead, allowing Partners to focus on their core business of serving customers.
Does a Partner get a special account?
Yes. Coghead Partners get a special Partner Account to sell application services, create trial or paid accounts, and manage their existing customer accounts. They can set up custom pricing that reflects the value of the applications and services they deliver. To get a Partner account, sign up for the Partner program, take out a Coghead Base Plan account (starting at $49 per month for 5 users) and we will upgrade the account to a Partner account after you have joined the program.
What are the Pricing & Payment terms for a Coghead Partner?
Partners receive a 15-20% discount (based on volume) on the Coghead standard price (see standard pricing ). When partners sell account subscriptions with their applications they can set their own pricing for their customers. Each monthly billing cycle, Coghead charges the Partner's customer the adjusted price and pays the Partner the difference between that and the discounted base cost of the Coghead account.
How do I become a Partner?
We are now accepting applications for a limited number of Charter members in our Partner program and offering great benefits for those who get started soon. In order to be considered, you need to submit the completed Charter Partner application. Once we have reviewed your application, and accepted you into the program we will upgrade your paid account (base plan) to Partner status with all the associated benefits and functionality.
What Benefits do I get as a Partner?
Partner status gives you a variety of benefits to help you develop, market and deliver your applications:

  • Application Development Support: We have a team of experienced developers on call specifically to support Partners.
  • 7x24 Infrastructure: One of the big advantages of using the Coghead platform is that you don't have to run a world-class data center in order to provide 24x7-availability to your customers.
  • Account administration: As a Partner you can create customer accounts, set up trials for your customers and configure custom pricing.
  • Billing and Payment: We give you a flexible environment for setting pricing and handle the actual payment processing for you.
  • Marketing Support: Coghead offers an ever growing list of activities that will help you get new business: lead referrals, PR, blog postings, directories, trial accounts, etc.
If you join the Charter Partner program now, you will get additional benefits such as free application and business advice.
What does "Charter" mean?
During the "charter phase" of our Partner program, Coghead is targeting early adopters. We are looking for partners who need to rapidly and efficiently deliver web applications to their customers today. The goal is to help these selected partners rapidly deliver customer solutions. They will receive additional attention, free services, promotion on our website, and the opportunity to help build and define the Partner program as it grows.
