Coghead Academic Program

Scope

Eligible members of the academic community can make the most of the Coghead Academic Program in the following areas:

  • Faculty Instruction - Faculty obtains access to the Coghead platform for instructional use through the free user license agreements. Faculty can deploy the Coghead platform for classroom lab environments for students to use.
  • Classroom Projects & Coursework - Students gain access to the Coghead platform to further enhance and build classroom projects. Faculty can use Coghead for instruction and students can expand their study by using Coghead to further enhance their coursework.

Eligibility

  • General Eligibility - Accredited academic institutions including High Schools, Colleges, Technical Institutions, and Universities for non-commercial educational purposes.
  • Free Academic Licenses
    • Free academic user licenses are available for academic instruction
    • Technology focused programs in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science are eligible and can participate in the program

Membership Details

  • Membership is free for any accredited academic institution that qualifies for the Coghead Academic Program
  • An accredited academic institution may join any time during the year
  • Only faculty, students and IT administrators within member institutions can access program resources under specific usage guidelines

Program Requirements

The following are the minimum requirements that all members of the Academic Program must meet before deploying and making use of the benefits of the program:

  • Your Free Coghead user licenses may only be used for academic instruction and classroom use.
  • Your membership will provide a web-based service that allows you to create a non-commercial educational account to create, manage, administer, distribute, display and transmit academic course materials and applications.
  • Each department within a member institution must designate a program Administrator as the central administrator of the program. The Program Administrator will be responsible for registration and communication with Coghead and will also be responsible for ensuring all program guidelines are met across the department.

Usage Guidelines

The free educational license under the Coghead Academic Program can be used only for academic instruction.

Definition of Instructional Use

  • Instructional Use is defined as using the Coghead platform for non-commercial educational purposes only and in connection with in-classroom and related coursework
